Health-related grants drive record research funding at UF

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The University of Florida’s aggressive pursuit of health-related grants helped generate a record $379.5 million in research funding during fiscal year 2000-2001, up 11.8 percent from the previous year, figures released today show.

UF Receives $4.2 Million Gift For New Lepidoptera Center

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Butterflies by the millions will have a new place to call home at the University of Florida, thanks to a major gift to construct two new buildings for Lepidoptera research and public exhibits, university officials announced today (1/5).
